Hans-Dieter Herzig, born and raised in Namibia, discovered as a little boy, through his father, who was a man of nature and an enthusiastic angler, his very own passion for nature and angling. Angling ‘til you drop from the longest shoreline in the world or sitting somewhere beside a campfire in Namibia’s open wilderness, was not just a childhood dream, but sheer reality and part of his everyday life from a young age. His passion and his growing desire to spend more time in nature, inspired him in the beginning of the 90ies to change his hobby into his career and thus be able to share Namibia’s fascinating beauty with as many people as possible. In 1992 he established, together with his partner Gertraud Unterforsthuber, Sunrise Tours & Safaris, which over the past 28 years developed into a reputable, customer friendly and client orientated Tour Operator. We excel and distinguish ourselves through many years of experience, attention to detail and constant well-versed professional expertise.
